This very competitive and generous compensation and benefits package could advance your career. This full-time position is for a Controller who will work in the Virginia Beach, Virginia region. Key responsibilities - Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation - Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies - Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques - Act on items beyond formal job responsibilities - Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings collections, and payroll - Review deliverables of self and team to align with client expectations - Responsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations G/L analysis - Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required - Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash - Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor on a monthly basis - Present monthly financial reports to executive committee and partners

Requirements: - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field is a must. -CPA is strongly desired and will be given significant preference for consideration. -A Master's in Accounting, MBA or other advanced degree is desired as well. - Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required - Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment - Large ERP systems experience is a must. - Month end closings experience - Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Dynamics NAV - Solid understanding of accounts receivable - Strong familiarity with accounts payable - Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems - Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued - Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills - Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast paced environment - Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines - Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations - 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
