Position Title Submarine Towed Array Technician

AECOM is actively seeking a Submarine Towed Array Technician to provide technical evaluation and perform the required corrective actions for Submarine Towed Array Systems casualties in accordance with the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual and all other applicable Navy Maintenance Procedures. The position will be located at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center, Naval Station Norfolk, VA.
Familiar with the Towed Array Handling Systems for the OK-634, OK-542/A OK-276A/C/T versions
Provide onboard and distance support for the trouble shooting and repair of various Submarine Towed Array systems
Provide technical support during the on-load/off-load evolutions
Perform Stowage tube/guide tube inspections
Provide training to ships force during technical assist visits
Assist with modernization efforts, Block Updates, Engineering Changes
Coordinate the assignment of technicians in the support of technical assistance requests
Track the progress, completion of technical assist visits, insure required documentation is completed/submitted.
Attend and participate in meeting as requested
Assist with the development of required graphs, charts and white papers as required
Provide Program support in administering and maintaining the Quality Maintenance System
Perform all other tasks as assigned.
Submarine Towed Systems/sonar experience required
Vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least seven (7) years of job-related experience or equivalent.
Excellent communications and analytical skills;
Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
Position requires a Secret Security Clearance.
Position may require travel.
Specialized Experience: Three (3) years full-time engineering experience in the operation, maintenance and installation, test and/or repair of submarine mechanical, and or electrical and or electronic systems/equipment.Experience in evaluating the material condition of ship systems and implementing corrective actions
General Experience: Five (5) years full-time technical experience in the design, installation, test, and/or repair of mechanical/electrical/electronic or mechanical systems/equipment.
