Responsibilities of this position include the oversight and management of the operational aspects of major ongoing or new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Projects. Serves as the liaison between senior management and project teams. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers and project customers. Develops solutions to complex problems. This position will also support the PLM Sustaining Improvement Team (SIT). Work with Key Stakeholders at NNS to assist in implementing a Drawingless Plan and Approach through the Integrated Digital Shipbuilding (iDS) Team.

Leads and directs one or more project teams engaged in the design, implementation and modification of IT projects that span across functional organizations. Prepares project execution plan and identifies appropriate technical and business resources needed for the team. Ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meets technical requirements of the assignment. Keeps current on advances in the field of IT. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.

Preferred Qualifications:

BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management , Information Technology, or other relevant discipline; 9 years of work experience in providing or managing IT services; Demonstrated ability to accomplish work objectives within a matrixed organizational environment.

The candidate should also possess analytical/problem solving skills, be self-motivated and be able to work without appreciable direction. Knowledge of CAD and data management tools, ideally Teamcenter NX/TcU and Next Generation Planning (NGP) are preferred. Excellent communication and people skills are required to support interfacing with all levels of management. Experience/knowledge in production, overhaul or fleet support, plus experience with design, collaboration and visualization tools are desired. .
